To use a membrane switch, we must know the using steps, so that the membrane switch would not be damaged. The way of use determines the service life of the membrane switch to a certain extent. The precautions for pasting and storage of membrane switches and membranes are described as follows:
1.Pasting Steps:
1) Cleaning: Clean the liner, casing or pasting position (the surface to be pasted is required to be smooth, rust-free, oil-free, and dust-free).
2) Check the size: Put the membrane switch (before peeling off) to the place to be pasted to compare whether it is qualified;
3) Alignment: Peel off the adhesive on the back of the membrane switch about 10mm from the side (better on no-button area ), and then paste it to the corresponding position. Check the position of the entire switch and then continue to paste;
4) Pasting: peeling and pasting (the curvature of the membrane switch surface shall not be greater than 15°);
2. Precautions for Pasting:
1) Pasting cannot be repeated, it must be done at one time, otherwise it may affect the performance of the adhesive;
2) The curvature of the membrane switch should not be greater than 15°. The operating buttons must be placed flat and then pressed. Do not operate when there is no liner or the buttons are suspended, otherwise it will affect the performance of the metal dome and severely may cause a short circuit.
3. Precautions for Storage:
1) The front and back of the product are generally covered with transparent film to protect the surface of the product or the display window from scratches. The protective film should be kept;
2) After taking out a few of them from the original package, the rest should be tied as before, but not too tightly;
3) Products with tactile feel need to be packed upright to prevent the buttons from weakening the tactile feel due to long-term pressing;
4) The cable and connector of the membrane switch should be well protected and not placed downward;
5) Products with windows or products with tactile feel should be protected from bending by force, the performance will be affected. Severely, it may cause short circuits and dome rebound failure, leading to a switch scrap.
6) The membrane switch is stored in a room at normal temperature and should be protected from dust and moisture, with no acid, alkaline or other corrosive gas in the surrounding air.
