3 Special Crafts in Membrane Switch Manufacturing -- Glossy Window with Matte Surface

In our last blog, JRPanel introduces one special craft in membrane switch manufacturing -- ESD Layer Installation, which can prevent ESD from damaging your membrane switches. In this blog, JRPanel brings you another special craft -- Glossy Window with Matte Surface.

WHAT IS GLOSSY WINDOW WITH MATTE SURFACE ?

Generally speaking, there are 2 kinds of the surface finish of membrane switch for people to choose: glossy finish and matte finish. Those who choose a glossy finish are usually looking for its soft surface feel and uniform color; while those who choose matte surface value the anti-scratch and wear-resistant characteristics of the product. JRPanel procures the following four types of genuine substrates on a long-term basis to meet the surface finish needs of membrane switch products: PET Matte / PET Glossy / PC Matte / PC Glossy.

But for some membrane switch products designed with display windows, the choice of surface effect may not be so simple. The membrane switch window is usually a transparent area on the panel for the user to observe the display of the LED or LCD behind the panel. This has led to a new type of surface finish, which we will introduce today: Glossy Window with Matte Surface, a surface finish that combines the good light transmission of the window with the outstanding wear resistance of the whole panel.

HOW DOES JRPANEL ACCOMPLISH THIS SPECIAL PROCESS?

Let's take look at a comparison picture first.

As it shows, the two finishes in the picture are both "matte", but visually they look different. The former uses a matte PET/PC substrate, while the latter uses a glossy PET/PC substrate, and the JRPanel factory applied a matte oil to the latter to achieve a matte finish.

By now, you may have guessed how JRPanel completed the "Glossy Window with Matte Surface".

Right, for this particular requirement, JRPanel will select a substrate that is itself glossy and apply a matte oil to the graphic layer for the area other than the display window.

MATTE OIL PRINTING NOTES

--After taking out the glossy material, we must print matte oil within 48 hours.

--The printing place should avoid direct sunlight. The UV light source should be placed separately from the printed material.

--The printing workshop should be kept clean and dust-free. Any pollution will lead to imperfect matte effect.

--Matte Oil should be thoroughly stirred before use.

--Printing thickness: 30-40 μm.

Follow the above notes and print correctly, the product will take on a "Glossy Window with Matte Surface" status ultimately.

Brief Introduction to Flat Spiral Coil Inductors

Hi guys! Today JRPanel would like to share a few points about Flat Spiral Coil  Inductors  with you. Basically, a flat coil inductor is an inductor wound with flat copper wire.  The picture below is the side view, we can see that each circle of copper wire is arranged very compact. Here are some of the application characteristics of flat coils : 1.  High current inductance 2.  Lowest DC resistance           3.  Can ensure smooth drop of current-resistant inductance 4.  Suitable for reflow SMT process 5.  Lead-free, RoHS compliant This pciture shows a flat coil product.  It is generally used in power supplies, personal computers and other handheld  electronic devices . Advantages of  F lat  C oil  I nductors are : 1.  Scientific and reasonable space design. 2.  Tight and flat between turns ensures the effective cross-sectional area of the wire, which greatly reduces the copper loss ...

The Main Use and Classification Methods of Transformer Bobbins

Hi guys, this blog is still about   high frequency transformers .   JRPanel   would like to introduce you the main use of transformer bobbins and how we classify them.   In the pictures are the transformer bobbins.        Following are the main uses of that JRPanel has summarized for you:   1. The bobbins provide space for winding copper wires in transformers.   2. Wire channel in the bobbins provides path for transformer winding.   3. The bobbins help to fix the core in the transformers.   4. The metal pins in the bobbins are connected to the  PCB  after soldering, which play an important role in conducting electricity when the transformer is working.   5. The baffle at the bottom of the bobbins isolates the core from the tin stack to avoid poor volta ge resistance.       From this it can be seen that the importance of bobbins in transf...

7 Optimization Methods for Product Styling Design

JRPanel  has sorted out a series of styling design optimization strategies, hoping to help everyone think strategically in the innovative design stage. Product styling design optimization strateg ies: segmentation, cutting and stacking, bending and twisting, concave and convex treatment, spliting and connecting, folding, surface texture.  1. Segmentation A series of means to segment the form purposefully to achieve a certain functional effect. Segmentation includes the following three forms: functional segmentation, form segmentation, and compound segmentation. Function segmentation -the segmentation method to meet product production and practical functions; Formal segmentation -a segmentation method to satisfy the aesthetic system thinking of product modeling and color; Compound segmentation -a segmentation method that covers the above two effects. 2. Cutting and Stacking Cutting and stacking the shape to achieve a certain functional effect. 3. Bending and Twisting Bending an...
